Hye-Yun Chung Bennett is a world class musician residing in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Raised in Seoul, Korea, she was honored to pave her way as the very first harp major in her home country at the esteemed Ewha Womans University. She went on to earn her Master’s from Cal State LA, completed a program at the renowned Juilliard School in New York, and studied piano pedagogy by Robert Pace at Columbia University. Debuting at Carnegie Hall in New York City in 1979, she earned rave reviews from the New York Times.

Hye-Yun has been performing and teaching both harp and piano professionally for over 30 years. She is available to perform at your upcoming wedding, corporate event, dinner party, cocktail hour, memorial service, birthday, anniversary, and more! 8/3/14 Sunday - Smithfield's Performing Art Series 7th annual Terrific Teen Talent showcase, featuring Hye-Yun's harp student Janel Hakey. Each year this annual program presents six of the most outstanding young musicians in the Tidewater area. All performers have considerate experience and recognized talent. Their accompanists are among the most outstanding professionals in Hampton Roads. 4pm @ Christ Episcopal Church, 111 S. Church Street, Smithfield VA.

9/7/14 Sunday -Tidewater Music Teacher's Forum hosts the Teacher's Recital. Hye-Yun performs piano solo "Rhapsody in Blue" by Gershwin and piano duet with Audrey King. 2:30 pm @ Christ & St. Luke's Church, 560 W. Olney Road, Norfolk, VA.
