Hye-Yun Chung Bennett enamors audiences around the world with her captivating harp and piano performances. She paved the way as the first harp major in her home country of South Korea at Ewha Womans University. She went on to earn her Master’s from Cal State LA, completed the Professional Study Plan at the Juilliard, and studied piano pedagogy by Robert Pace at Columbia University. Debuting at Carnegie Recital Hall in New York City in 1979, she earned rave reviews from the New York Times. Hye Yun Chung had the honor of working with Susann McDonald as her teaching assistant while pursuing a doctoral degree in Music at the University of Arizona in Tucson.

Hye-Yun has been performing and teaching both the harp and piano professionally for over 40 years. She has spent the past few years of her musical career in Yokohama, Japan. Currently residing in the beautiful city of Washington, D.C., her undying passion for music continues through teaching and performing for international audiences.
